Sergei Aksenov threatened with dismissal to officials who did not process emergency appeals
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Since Monday, all the appeals, including Kamenka, on which the issue has still not been resolved, and there was no leadership on site, no one came out, no one sorted it out, I go out myself. If it turns out that the residents are right, the work of officials will be completed on the spot, all those responsible for the situation — the head of Krymenergo, the head of the district or city and the head of the administration— quotes TASS Sergei Aksenov.
The head of the republic added that in the near future, in agreement with the prosecutor’s office, a decision will be made to include the city of Simferopol in the emergency zone after the storm.
Today, we received a large number of requests — 400 signatures practically for the Kamensky massif regarding emergencies. I promised that I would consider all requests myself. For Kamenka, a decision will be made by Friday, agreed with the prosecutor’s office, to include in the emergency zone so that all the people who actually sat without electricity for 24 hours will be included.“, he clarified, adding that the largest number of complaints about power surges in electrical networks comes from residents of the Simferopol region. — I instructed the management of Krymenergo and the structural divisions of the enterprise to identify and propose options for technical solutions that will stabilize the situation by next week, without waiting for the replacement of transformer substations. The work must be organized in the shortest possible time using economic methods. If it turns out that the problem has not been resolved due to shortcomings of the persons responsible for this area, personnel decisions will be made immediately.
Earlier, the head of Crimea stated that the republic’s authorities intend to complete work on paying compensation to residents of the peninsula for damage caused by the storm by February 15, clarifying that over 600 appeals from Crimeans were rejected for various reasons.
About bad weather in Crimea
A cyclone with hurricane winds of up to 40 m/s at night and in the morning of November 27 led to massive flooding on the Black Sea coast of Russia. The disaster also affected the Republic of Crimea, where, according to Aksenov, it left almost 1.2 million residents without power supply. In the first hours, 445 people were evacuated from flooded residential buildings; in total, more than 200 houses were flooded. Reconstruction efforts were hampered by stormy weather throughout the week.
