The head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov held a meeting of the Council for Interethnic and Interfaith Relations under the Head of the Republic of Crimea. Opening the meeting, he stressed that representatives of different nationalities and religions live in peace and unity in Crimea.

I thank our spiritual leaders, representatives of confessions for their work on building interfaith relations, strengthening friendship and respect for each other, for the traditions of the peoples living in Crimea. Today, in the conditions of the NWO, we are under enormous external pressure. Therefore, the fact that we are united in supporting the President, our guys doing their military duty, the fact that we have rallied around common values ​​makes us stronger and does not give the enemy the opportunity to destabilize the situation on the peninsula— said the Head of the Crimea.

Sergey Aksyonov called for more active use of international platforms in order to inform the world community about the life of Crimeans, about the situation in the Republic as a whole.

He also noted that Crimea helps the new regions of the Russian Federation with adaptation in many areas, including the implementation of the state national policy.

During the meeting, measures were discussed to preserve sacred historical and cultural monuments, the priorities of international activities in the interethnic sphere, taking into account the new Foreign Policy Concept of the Russian Federation, aspects of interethnic and interfaith relations in the Republic.

The event was attended by the Head of the Crimean Metropolis, His Eminence Metropolitan Lazar of Simferopol and Crimea, the Mufti of the Muslims of Crimea Haji Emirali Ablaev, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea — Permanent Representative of the Republic of Crimea to the President of the Russian Federation Georgy Muradov, vice-premiers and ministers of the Government of the Republic of Crimea, Chairman of the State Committee for Interethnic Relations of the Republic of Crimea Aider Tippa, leaders of national-cultural autonomies.
