Issues of the spiritual life of the Armenian community were discussed.
The Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov met with the rector of the Surb Khach Monastery, Dean for Crimea of the Russian and New Nakhichevan Diocese of the Holy Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church, Archimandrite Taron Gulikyan.
The meeting participants discussed a number of current issues, including the spiritual life of the Armenian community in the Republic of Crimea, the contribution of religious organizations to strengthening interethnic harmony. Joint priority tasks for the future were also outlined.
Sergei Aksenov assured that the authorities are ready to provide the necessary assistance to the Armenian Church.
I am confident that Archimandrite Taron will make a significant contribution to strengthening interreligious peace for the benefit of all peoples living in Crimea,” noted the Head of the Republic.
