Sergei Aksyonov told the President of Russia about the program for the overhaul of schools in Crimea

Vladimir Putin held a meeting via video conference on the progress of the school overhaul program. The meeting was attended by the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov and the director of the Crimean gymnasium for gifted children Ekaterina Skopintseva-Kityuk.
The federal program for capital repairs of schools is being implemented on behalf of the President. In 2022–2026, the federal budget allocates over 315 billion rubles for its implementation. In Russian regions, 4,466 school buildings have already been renovated; by the end of 2026, overhauls of more than 7,300 buildings are planned.
Opening the event, Vladimir Putin noted that over the past two years, the federal center, together with the constituent entities of Russia, have put in order more than 4 thousand school buildings.
This means that at least 1.8 million children began to study in modern, comfortable conditions. Moreover, we pay special attention to the development of the material and technical base of education in rural areas — this is an absolute priority of the program, a significant factor in ensuring justice and equality of opportunity for young peoplesaid the President of Russia.
Vladimir Putin emphasized that the tasks of the federal program include not only updating engineering systems and building facades, but also creating a modern school space for all young Russians.
In turn, the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergei Kravtsov appealed to the President with a proposal to extend the program until 2030, which will help completely remove the issue of major renovations in schools throughout the country and update about 7 million student places. According to Sergei Kravtsov, every schoolchild in the country will be in modern conditions and receive a quality education, regardless of his place of residence.
Vladimir Putin supported the extension of the federal program for capital repairs of schools until 2030.
During his report, Sergei Aksyonov emphasized that over the past ten years, with the support of the President, a great breakthrough has been made in the field of education of the Republic of Crimea.
Over these years, 821 school and preschool institutions were overhauled. 9 new schools and 163 kindergartens were built. At the same time, we managed to completely eliminate the queue for kindergartens– said the Head of Crimea.
The Head of the Republic also informed that 13 schools are planned to be built by 2027, and seven more schools are included in the federal target development program until 2030.
Sergei Aksyonov expressed gratitude to Vladimir Putin and the Government of the Russian Federation for their comprehensive support of Crimea and all the large-scale changes that are taking place in the region.
I am confident that the social infrastructure of the republic will continue to develop successfully. Creating a modern educational environment where our children will be comfortable studying and developing their talents is one of the main tasks of the authorities of the Republicconcluded the Head of Crimea.
Vladimir Putin highly appreciated the initiatives of Sergei Aksenov, which are helping the region to develop, and expressed hope that the work will continue with the same attitude.
Ekaterina Skopintseva-Kityuk also spoke at the meeting, who spoke about the work of the Regional Center for Identification and Support of Gifted Children in the Republic of Crimea “Impulse”, created on the basis of the Crimean boarding school for gifted children and according to the model of the federal territory “Sirius”.
All children of the Republic can study medicine, agrobiology, genetics and selection, robotics and much more at the center, develop in the field of painting and theatrical art. Last year alone, 5,800 children mastered new educational programs,” shared the director of the Crimean boarding school for gifted children, expressing gratitude to the federal center for its assistance.
