The head of Crimea congratulated the athlete on the upcoming March 8th.
The Head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, visited the Paralympic champion in athletics among athletes with musculoskeletal disorders, international master of sports, honored worker of physical culture and sports of the Republic of Crimea Tatyana Yakibchuk.
During the visit, current issues in the field of physical education and sports were discussed, as well as a number of difficulties that athletes with disabilities may face. The head of Crimea emphasized that the development of sports in the Republic is one of the priorities of authorities at all levels.
Sergey Aksyonov thanked Tatyana Yakibchuk for her active civic position and her activities in promoting sports for people with disabilities in Crimea.
On the eve of International Women’s Day, the Head of the Republic of Crimea presented the Paralympic champion with a memorable gift.
Tatyana Mikhailovna Yakibchuk was born on November 21, 1968 in the city of Simferopol. Among the victories of the Ukrainian and Russian Paralympic athlete is a silver medal at the 2004 Summer Paralympic Games in Athens, the title of champion of the 2008 Summer Paralympic Games in Beijing and others.
Currently, Tatyana Mikhailovna is engaged in the development and support of sports for people with musculoskeletal disorders and the Paralympic movement in the Republic of Crimea.
