Sergey Aksenov: A social worker is a service, a difficult and noble mission

Congratulations from the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksenov on the occasion of Social Worker Day.

Provide care and attention to those who need it, help people every day. A difficult and noble mission. And although Social Worker Day is listed on the calendar as a professional holiday, we know for sure: it is more than a profession. This is a service that requires such personal qualities as mercy and empathy, responsiveness and patience.

One of the important areas of social policy is the development of a system of long-term care for older people. This involves the provision of social services at home free of charge.

The implementation of the system began in September 2023, 900 people were accepted for social services.

Our President has set the goal of providing long-term care to 100% of citizens who need it by 2030. Crimea is working to accomplish this task.

I thank the social workers for their dedicated work. Special thanks to those who help our soldiers and their families.
