Sergey Aksyonov believes that in 2024 the tourist flow to Crimea will decrease by 30%

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The tourist flow in Crimea in 2024 will be 30% less due to the general situation in connection with the special military operation (SVO). The head of the region Sergey Aksenov told journalists about this.

Visually, the South Coast, Alushta, and also Evpatoria, colleagues say, are packed. It is almost impossible to go to the beach. Some destinations, of course, are underloaded. In general, the tourist flow is changing. We think it will be 30% [турпоток] less than in peacetime. But, citizens of the Russian Federation, devoted to Crimea, are coming. Many thanks to all tourists— quotes TASS The head of Crimea.

According to him, the Crimean authorities are doing everything possible to ensure a safe and comfortable holiday.

I am already saying openly: the presence of fortifications, some directions are unsafe. But all this together, as a whole, is kept under constant control by the Crimean headquartersnotes Sergei Aksyonov.

Aksenov reported that following the results of the resort season, measures will be taken to support hoteliers where, due to objective reasons, the season was not held.

Earlier in July, the head of the republic reported that 2 million tourists visited Crimea in the first half of 2024. This is 15% more than in the same period of 2023. Of these, 60.8% arrived via the Crimean Bridge by car and bus, 31.7% by rail, and 7.5% by land through historical regions of Russia.
