Ten years ago, Crimeans made a choice that changed the fate of each of us, the fate of Crimea, Russia and the world.

The 2014 referendum was a unique historical event. This was a blow to the plans of those forces that were trying to drive us into an Orwellian dystopia, where slavery is called freedom and war is called peace.

Crimea proved that a people united by a common dream can defeat the power of force, money, political technologies and independently determine their destiny. Not an aggressive, brainwashed minority, like the Maidan crowd, but the people.

The Crimean dream of reunification with Russia came true thanks to the decisions of our President. They express the will of many millions of people. Not only Crimeans, but also the majority of residents of our country. This is an example of true democracy.

Brothers and sisters from the DPR and LPR, Kherson region and Zaporozhye region returned home this way after us. And today our soldiers on the fields of the Northern Military District defend our choice and our freedom, truth and life.
