CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Head of the Republic of Crimea spoke about staffing schools and social support for Crimean teachers. Sergei Aksenov emphasized that training qualified teachers and increasing the prestige of a teacher’s work are important factors in the development of the education sector in the republic.
In Crimea there is a need for teaching staff, there are vacancies in schools. This is due, among other things, to the commissioning of new educational organizations. Between 2014 and 2024, 11 schools were built and reconstructed in Crimea. More than 7.3 thousand places have been created. In 2024, the construction of a new building of the Tauride School-Gymnasium No. 20 in Simferopol for 170 places will be completed. The most in demand are teachers of primary school, mathematics, and Russian languagenotes the Head of the Republic.
Programs that allow systematic training of personnel are being implemented at the Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University named after Fevzi Yakubov and at the Crimean Federal University named after V.I. Vernadsky. The number of students wishing to become teachers in the future is increasing. This academic year it amounted to more than 5.5 thousand people, of which about 4.9 thousand came from the budget. Work is underway to conclude agreements on targeted training. From 2019 to 2023, more than 100 contracts were concluded.
According to Sergei Aksenov, an important component of the work to increase the prestige of a teacher’s work is the use of social support measures.
There are a number of such measures in effect in our republic. Thus, teachers who come to work under the Zemstvo Teacher program receive a one-time compensation payment in the amount of 1 million rubles. Teachers working in rural areas with up to three years of experience are paid an annual one-time financial assistance to pay for rent or housing, travel to their place of worksays the Head of Crimea.
Among other support measures, Sergei Aksyonov noted a monthly additional payment from the federal budget for class management in the amount of 5 thousand rubles, as well as an additional payment to young specialists in the amount of 5.7 thousand rubles monthly. In addition, since the beginning of last year, 24 municipalities of Crimea have introduced bonuses to the official salaries of mentors of young specialists and young specialists who have started working in their specialty for the first time in municipal educational organizations.
In addition, a number of municipalities have approved support measures in the form of providing teaching staff with land plots, including for construction, as well as office housing. Regional awards for training winners of All-Russian Olympiads and 100-scorers at the Unified State Exam, and for achievements in teaching are also a sign of respect for the work of a teacher.
We need to strengthen our efforts to attract specialists to the field of education and improve their working conditions. The teacher lays the foundation for the future. What could be more important? – notes the Head of Crimea.
