Sergey Aksyonov: “Science and technological progress are the key to the country’s development”

The Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov took part in a gala event dedicated to the Day of Russian Science at the Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University named after Fevzi Yakubov.

Congratulating those present on the holiday, Sergei Aksyonov noted that over 300 years of active development of Russian science, a large number of discoveries and achievements have occurred. “Science and technological progress have always led and continue to lead the country forward; they are the key to its development, behind which are our scientists and inventors. These are caring, patient and purposeful people who work for the good of the Fatherland without regard to material well-being, – the press service quotes the Head of the Republic.

The head of Crimea also addressed young scientists, urging them to follow their chosen path, despite any difficulties.

The path that young scientists go through today is quite difficult; it requires persistence and a desire to benefit other people. Don’t give up your business, strive and develop so that in the future your knowledge, skills and experience will benefit society and our Motherland. After all, the value of any invention or discovery lies precisely in bringing practical benefitsnotes the Head of the Republic.

Sergey Aksenov added that the Government of the Republic of Crimea will continue to do everything necessary to support and develop the Crimean scientific community.

In turn, the rector of the Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University named after. Fevzi Yakubova Chingiz Yakubov expressed gratitude to the scientific community for their dedication, preserving traditions and working with new ideas.

REFERENCE. Russian Science Day was established by decree of the President of the Russian Federation on June 7, 1999. In 2024, it will be 300 years since the founding of the Russian Academy of Sciences, in honor of whose creation this holiday was established. The main goal of the RAS is to conduct and develop fundamental research aimed at obtaining new knowledge about the laws of development of nature, society, man and contributing to the technological, economic, social and spiritual development of Russia.
