The head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, signed agreements with the heads of all-Russian organizations as part of the Day of the Republic of Crimea at the International Exhibition and Forum “Russia” at VDNKh. In particular, a document on cooperation was signed with the All-Russian physical culture and sports public organization “All-Russian Sambo Federation”, which was represented by the president of the public organization Sergey Eliseev.

The agreement provides for joint work on the development and popularization of sambo in the Republic of Crimea and the implementation of socially significant projects and initiatives aimed at increasing the role of physical culture and sports in personal development, strengthening the health of the nation and creating a healthy lifestyle.

Sergei Aksyonov emphasized that any agreements concluded by the Republic of Crimea are always aimed at improving the quality of life of citizens and expanding opportunities for self-realization for Crimeans.

An agreement was also signed with the Russian Society “Knowledge”. The head of Crimea thanked Maxim Dreval, General Director of the Knowledge Society, for his interest in the republic.

I am sure that the document will help in organizing educational activities in Crimea in order to bring it to a qualitatively new level,” noted the Head of Crimea.

On December 14, a meeting of the diocesan council and an annual meeting of the clergy of the Simferopol and Crimean diocese took place in the Simferopol and Crimean diocese. ✅In the administration of the Simferopol and Crimean diocese, a meeting of the diocesan council was held under the chairmanship of the head of the Crimean Metropolis, Metropolitan Tikhon of Simferopol and Crimea. The work of the council was attended by vicar bishops, the secretary of the metropolis, and members of the diocesan council. ✅The annual diocesan meeting of the clergy of the Simferopol and Crimean diocese, monastics, and abbesses of women's monasteries took place in the assembly hall of the Tauride Theological Seminary. ✅Before the start of the working part of the meeting, those present honored the memory of the deceased clergy. ✅The ruling bishop took the initiative to expand the Diocesan Council. Those present supported the inclusion of Archpriest Vladimir Gaponenko, Archpriest Dimitry Krotkov, Archpriest Georgy Barzul, and Priest Dimitry Shishkin. It was also decided to form the Simferopol city deanery (dean - Archpriest John Shimon) and the Simferopol regional deanery (dean - Archpriest Bogdan Severin). ✅The decisions of the diocesan meeting to provide financial assistance to supernumerary (retired) clergy, as well as widows of priests, have become relevant and significant. A decision was made to allocate monthly benefits for the children of clergy of the diocese (as a rule, clergy families have large families), to build housing for needy clergy, and to organize a Diocesan Medical Center for laity and clergy. ✅The task was set about the need for a wide range of primarily spiritual literature, as well as canonical icons and church utensils in the diocesan warehouse, at the same time affordable. ✅The ruling bishop emphasized that donations for the sacraments and requirements should be voluntary and feasible for the laity, and if parishioners lack funds, they should be made by clergy free of charge. ❗️An important resolution of the meeting was the move of the Tauride Theological Seminary to the city of Sevastopol, to the St. Vladimir Monastery in Chersonesos. On the basis of the current premises of the Taurida Theological Seminary, a Theological Academy for the laity will open. It will provide laity with the opportunity to study a wide range of theological and humanitarian subjects; a choir school and a school of choir directors, an icon painting school, and a youth center will open. The task has been set to prepare children's Orthodox camps for schoolchildren in Crimea by the summer of 2024. ❗️❗️The Metropolitan raised the issue of systemicity and transparency in the management of the diocesan budget. From now on, the ruling bishop asked the clergy to forget about any forms of financial contributions to the diocese, except for official transfers for general diocesan needs. About a hundred churches (mostly rural) out of 327 operating in the diocese are expected to be completely exempt from contributions for general diocesan needs due to their difficult financial situation. All deans have been instructed to study in detail the situation for each of these churches and prepare information about parishes in need of support. ✅Issues regarding the inventory of movable valuable property of churches were also considered. ✅After discussing the main agenda, Bishop Tikhon answered numerous questions from meeting participants
