Sergey Aksyonov: “The budget of the Republic of Crimea will be deficit-free”

The Head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, took part in a meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea, during which the draft law on the republic’s budget for 2024 and for the planning period of 2025 and 2026 was reviewed and approved.

Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea — Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea Irina Kiviko said that the draft budget law was formed taking into account the assessment of the implementation of the activities of the Program for the rehabilitation of public finances of the republic until 2026. The budgetary effect from the implementation of this program in full is provided in the amount of 961.8 million rubles, including 303.1 million rubles in 2024.

Sergei Aksyonov noted that the republic’s budget will be deficit-free, including through the receipt of funds from the sale of nationalized facilities. All social obligations will be fulfilled in full.

The Republican targeted investment program will be adjusted and changes are possible closer to the date of its adoption. At the moment, the amount of funds allocated for the implementation of more than 200 objects in 2024 is 2.8 billion rublesnotes the Head of the Republic.

Sergei Aksyonov also emphasized that relevant ministries and municipalities need to continue working to attract additional sources of income.

Anyone who fails to meet revenue targets may have problems with financial support next year– emphasizes the Head of Crimea.

In addition, at the meeting, the forecast for the socio-economic development of Crimea was studied and the issue of the budget of the Territorial Compulsory Health Insurance Fund of the Republic of Crimea for 2024 and for the planning period 2025–2026 was considered.
