Sergey Ganzii: rural tourism is one of the priority types of tourism in Crimea
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The amendments made to the federal laws «On peasant farming» and «On the development of agriculture» will create conditions for stimulating the development of rural tourism as one of the most important areas of tourism and agriculture in the Republic of Crimea. Today, 75 entities in Crimea provide services in the field of rural, agricultural tourism, the press service quotes the minister.
Federal Law No. 160-FZ of 22.06.2024 «On Amendments to Article 19 of the Federal Law «On Peasant (Farm) Economy» and the Federal Law «On the Development of Agriculture» was adopted by the State Duma and approved by the Federation Council at the end of June and entered into force on July 3.
According to the amendments, farmers have been given the opportunity to provide services in the field of rural tourism, including accommodating tourists in guest houses located on agricultural lands. In addition, farmers can sell their own products in premises that are part of the property of the farm or in non-stationary trading facilities. The document stipulates that tourist accommodation facilities in rural areas must be provided with hot and cold water supply, equipped with artificial lighting both indoors and outside the building, including emergency lighting, a heating system and ventilation.
As Sergei Ganzii noted, rural tourism will also provide year-round employment for the rural population when there is no seasonal agricultural work.
Crimea has a high tourist attractiveness of rural areas from a historical, natural, ethnographic point of view. Every year new points of attraction of agrotourism appear, allowing our guests to appreciate not only more traditional types of tourism — beach, cultural and historical, ecological tourism and medical. These are snail, oyster, mussel farms, cheese dairies, wineries. Changes in legislation will increase the growth of tourist flow to these and new tourist sites and expand the scope of the season— notes Sergey Ganzii.
