The first theatrical lecture of the historical and cultural project “Sevastopol. Pages of History in the Theatre. It was dedicated to Vice Admiral Vladimir Kornilov, Chief of Staff of the Black Sea Fleet, hero of the First Defense of Sevastopol. The cycle of lectures, which will last a year, was created for high school students of the Hero City. At the first lesson, the students learned about the unknown pages of history, childhood and adolescence of the Vice Admiral. The lecture was held by Honored Artist of Russia Evgeny Zhuravkin and Ph.D. in History, Chairman of the NGO Historical Club Tauric Sevastopol Vadim Prokopenkov.

This is a really cool project. I’m not just interested in reading, I’m interested in hearing and seeing. It seems to me that this way the information will be assimilated better, and, frankly, this is a kind of visualization of our historical past. I have always been interested in the history of Russia, the history of our city, and these lectures are useful to me. Plus, the presentation of information — I was interested , — emphasizes the participant of the lecture Gleb.
