Sevastopol and Kherson region will cooperate in the field of tourism
Acting Minister of Tourism of the Kherson region Sergey Grishin and the head of the tourism department of Sevastopol Larisa Ostapenko signed an interregional cooperation agreement.
We started cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism of the Kherson region in the summer of 2022. We will continue to provide all the necessary support to our colleagues. Separately, I note that we have set one of the main tasks for ourselves — to show children from the Kherson region the real story. Starting this year, we plan to take children from the Kherson region on excursions around the city of Sevastopol— said Larisa Ostapenko.
Cooperation will be organized between the two departments in the field of implementing tourist programs for the military-patriotic education of youth, business, children’s and other types of tourism.
First of all, we are currently counting on children’s tourism of a cultural and educational orientation, as well as recreation of a historical and patriotic orientation, which is rich in both Sevastopol and the Kherson region. We want to send the younger generation to rest and recuperate in neighboring regions, including Sevastopol. We look forward to the continued support of our colleagues from Sevastopol. The practice of the region to develop tourism since 2014 is very useful for us. I emphasize that one of the goals of our work is to restore the historical significance of the Kherson region— commented the Acting Minister of Tourism of the Kherson region Sergey Grishin.
After signing the agreement for colleagues from the Kherson region in Sevastopol, they showed the work of a mobile tourist center and shared experience in creating and promoting tourist information centers in the region.
