Sevastopol and the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic signed a cooperation agreement

CrimeaPRESS reports:

At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a ceremony was held to conclude an agreement between the Government of Sevastopol and the Government of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic on trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural cooperation.

On the part of Sevastopol, the agreement was signed by Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, on the part of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic — by its head Kazbek Kokov.

The agreement is aimed at developing bilateral ties between the regions. It provides for cooperation in many areas: from industrial development to the social sphere and tourism.

Sevastopol is actively developing today, and we are interested in working together with the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic in such areas as attracting investment, developing industry, agriculture and tourism. Kabardino-Balkaria is one of the educational and scientific centers of the Caucasus, and also has exceptional tourist and recreational resources. The region has already accumulated a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry, which, I am sure, will be useful for the tourism sector of Sevastopol. I have friendly relations with the head of the Republic Kazbek Valerievich Kokov. And I definitely understand that our two regions can enrich each other. I am absolutely convinced that this cooperation will be maximally mutually beneficial,” the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.

Strengthening ties between regions will facilitate interaction between relevant authorities in specific areas.

For us, today’s agreement is an opportunity to become more familiar with the achievements of Sevastopol in various spheres of life, to establish direct contacts between our enterprises, and to exchange experience in the development and mastery of modern production technologies. We are deeply interested in this, since Sevastopol plays an important role for the Russian economy, has industrial, scientific, technical and recreational potential, and provides direct access to the international market for export-import operations. I am confident that common socio-economic interests will contribute to the strengthening and development of our business contacts, the creation and implementation of joint projectssaid the head of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic Kazbek Kokov.

The concluded agreement will allow the two regions to exchange experience in introducing best practices and initiatives.
