Sevastopol Anti-TB Dispensary celebrated its 95th anniversary
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Today, the Sevastopol Anti-TB Dispensary is the leading institution for providing TB care in the city and one of the oldest hospitals. The future dispensary began its work in a boarding house on the southern coast of Crimea with 20 beds, but now it is a whole complex, which includes a hospital with 150 beds, adult and children’s clinics, a laboratory diagnostic center and an x-ray department.
The team at the anti-tuberculosis dispensary has an important and complex mission — to protect Sevastopol residents from the spread of such a severe infection as tuberculosis. The dispensary team effectively copes with the task, and we, in turn, do everything possible to help them with this— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the Deputy Governor of Sevastopol Alexander Kulagin.
The hospital employs 206 employees, including 43 doctors, 87 mid-level specialists and 76 junior level specialists.
You give people the opportunity to breathe freely. Dear friends, take care of yourselves, hold each other’s hands, because a close-knit team is the most important thing in our difficult work. Thanks to your support, the institution’s performance will always be at its best.,” notes Director of the Department of Health Vitaly Denisov.
In the middle of this year, a modern Laboratory Diagnostics Center, consisting of three blocks: clinical diagnostic, microbiological and PCR laboratories, opened in the anti-tuberculosis dispensary. New equipment was purchased especially for them, meeting the highest requirements and standards. Thanks to better diagnostics, within a few hours you can get an answer about what treatment regimen should be prescribed to the patient. A 64-slice computed tomograph and a modern x-ray machine with elements of artificial intelligence also appeared.
In recent years, Sevastopol has followed the path of increasing the coverage of preventive examinations. Our doctors regularly take part in all-Russian conferences and improve their qualifications in the country’s leading scientific centers. We are growing, developing, getting new equipment and striving to become even better.says the chief doctor of the Sevastopol anti-tuberculosis dispensary Andrei Verbitsky.
