At the open international powerlifting tournament «Commonwealth of Nations», Sevastopol athletes under the guidance of coaches Mikhail Paller and Oleg Khomenko won «gold» and «silver».
Alexey Nazarenko won a gold medal in the classic bench press discipline with the result of 200 kg, weight category 75 kg. Anatoly Goryachok won a silver medal in the weight category up to 45 kg, classical triathlon — the amount 2022 kg, — said the Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev.
This is not the only success of the Sevastopol residents. At the Russian Boccia Cup among people with lesions of the musculoskeletal system in Aleksin at the republican training base of the Russian Ministry of Sports «Oka», Sevastopol athletes won 2 gold and 1 silver medals under the guidance of coach Anna Melnikova. In the team standings of the Cup of the country, the Sevastopol team took 3rd place.
