Sevastopol City Court convicted of a criminal case against a 52-year-old resident of Sevastopol-Russian citizen Vladimir Makarov.
He is found guilty under Art. 275 of the Criminal Code (state treason). It was established that in the period from December 2023 to April 2024, by correspondence in the Internet mixer Makarov, he was recruited by the SBU employee for confidential cooperation against the security of the Russian Federation. On the instructions of the representative of the Ukrainian special services, he took a mobile phone with the necessary software from the cache prepared for him. From April to June 2024, with the help of this device, he collected and handed over photographs and information about the location of weapons and military facilities of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Employees of the FSB of Russia in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol stopped Makarov’s criminal activity. He was detained and detained-voiced the details of the case in the press service of the Government of Sevastopol.
Given the position of the state prosecutor, the court appointed the guilty of 14 years in prison with the serving of a maximum security penal colony with a limitation of liberty for a period of 1 year.
