Sevastopol City Hospital No. 4 celebrates its anniversary — 80 years since its creation

CrimeaPRESS reports:

City Hospital No. 4 is 80 years old. Today, a solemn event dedicated to this anniversary took place at the Sevastopol Center for Culture and Arts. Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev congratulated the employees and veterans of the hospital on the holiday.

The hospital has a glorious post-war history, and today it is one of our most important medical institutions in the city. More than 50 thousand people — which is exactly the number of patients on the North Side — is a huge workload and responsibility, which you cope with remarkably well,” the governor addressed medical workers.

He recalled that the profession of a health worker means, in addition to responsibility for patients, also a complex schedule: doctors are on duty both on holidays and on weekends. And they perform feats — for example, on June 23, during the attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Uchkuevka, it was doctors, nurses, x-ray technicians and orderlies of the 4th hospital who were the first to come to the aid of the victims.

The governor emphasized in his speech that the government of Sevastopol is working on the issue of building a full-fledged hospital on the North Side.

The hospital employs more than 500 people, and thousands of patients come to see doctors every day. Of course, our main task today is to put the hospital in order; we are now working on this issue with the Department of Health and the administration of the institution. We all understand that a full-fledged hospital is needed on the North Side — taking into account the development of the area and the city as a whole — and we will definitely implement this task. I keep this issue under personal control, as well as the completion of major renovations of the hospital, — Mikhail Razvozhaev emphasized.

The head of the city presented awards to hospital employees and memorable gifts to veterans who worked in the medical institution from 25 to 60 years. The audience gave the veterans a standing ovation.

The hospital employees were congratulated by the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly Committee on Health, Social Policy and Family Support, Alexander Kulagin, and Federation Council Senator Larisa Melnik.
