Sevastopol companies apply for participation in the contest of promising Russian brands

The competition for promising Russian brands is held as part of the Strong Ideas for the New Times forum, organized by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives and the Roscongress Foundation. The application has already been submitted by Technopark «IT Crimea», which is a point of attraction for representatives of the information technology sector in the city.

Today, there are more than 20 companies among the residents of the Technopark, its infrastructure is actively developing. It is assumed that by 2030 the total area of ​​»IT Crimea» will be more than 30 thousand square meters. m.

Last year, together with the Sevastopol State University, a startup studio was created, and acceleration programs were implemented in the areas of blockchain and microelectronics. Currently, work is underway with the Government of Sevastopol to create a special administrative region for foreign economic activity in the field of IT and DeFi. It was this idea that Technopark submitted to the competition for the best initiatives.

The project proposes to define decentralized blockchain-based solutions as a strategic direction in the development of the domestic IT industry. At the same time, Technopark «IT Crimea» should be used as a base. A project for a new financial system — DeFi — has also been proposed with the aim of replacing the current Western-oriented and controlled financial system with an unbiased and algorithmically honest decentralized one in order to overcome sanctions restrictions. Within DeFi, new productive financial products with low costs and high efficiency may appear.

For more effective interaction between IT Crimea and the executive bodies of the city of Sevastopol, a responsible manager is assigned to a priority project from the Sevastopol Development Corporation. Working meetings are held on a weekly basis to summarize the work done and set goals for the future.
