Sevastopol employees of the Russian Emergencies Ministry trained to extinguish a large forest fire

On the eve of the fire hazard season, the Main Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for Sevastopol conducted command and staff training on extinguishing forest and landscape fires.

The fire, according to legend, began at Mount Gasfort. The fire became Verkhov, spread to 25 hectares and approached the village of Khmelnitsky. 168 people and 45 pieces of equipment were involved in the exercises, including 62 specialists from the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia and 20 units of equipment, -notes the head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia for Sevastopol, Major General of the Internal Service Alexei Rokhlin.

The conventional fire together was liquidated by the firefighters of the Ministry of Emergencies, the forestry, the rescue service of the city, the Black Sea Fleet, and the voluntary fire department. Fire calculations from Foros arrived to help. Other emergency departments, services and organizations of the region were also involved. Participants worked out actions to extinguish a conditional fire, digging of the territory to prevent the spread of fire, the search for the victims with the involvement of drones and dog handlers, pre -medical, medical and psychological assistance to people in incidents.
