From October 27, the forests of the Sevastopol forestry are again open to the public, and restrictions on staying there are lifted. However, a special fire regime and additional fire safety requirements continue to apply in the city.

Also in forests you can now collect fallen trees, that is, dead wood. These are the remains of tree trunks and branches lying on the ground.
Dead wood is quite easy to distinguish; on the branches of such trees there are no needles and leaves, no juices are released, the bark peels off from the trunk, the wood darkens — it acquires a gray, dark brown color. But a tree that is standing and has not yet fallen cannot be harvested. Harvesting such wood can be qualified as theft of state property and entail not only administrative liability, but also criminal liability.notes Roman Denisov.
Harvesting and collection are absolutely free — any resident can collect the required amount of dead wood for their own needs. The exception is spruce and other coniferous trees for the New Year holidays.
If you want to remove the collected dead wood in your personal vehicle, you can submit a notification to the Sevastopol Forestry in advance. In the notification, indicate from which point the removal is planned, the type and volume of the workpiece, the make and number of the car, your details and contact phone number.
