The ceremonial closing of the work season of the Governor’s school labor teams took place at the Sevastopol Children’s Art School. In honor of the closing of the third labor semester, the best fighters, commanders and commissars, the best detachments, press services and winners of various competitions were awarded. In total, more than 2,200 schoolchildren received their first work experience as part of labor teams this summer.
This summer, the children worked in their schools, helped in libraries and museums, improved public spaces together with Parks and Squares, and grew seedlings with employees of the Directorate of Protected Natural Areas and Forestry. For the first time, schoolchildren completed a working semester at Seavtodor and Sevelektroavtotrans. There was also the first experience in the IT field: 50 guys worked at Promsvyazbank.
I am glad that the number of schoolchildren who join the GST movement is growing from year to year. We are trying to increase the number of jobs and the variety of areas of work. At the last meeting, the schoolchildren said that they wanted to try their hand at television. Therefore, we decided that next summer the guys will also be able to find work at the Sevastopol TV and Radio Company.,” said Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.
The results of the third labor semester are as follows:
- Best Governor’s School Labor Team: «Iceberg».
- Best GShTO commander: Albina Guseva.
- Best GSTO Commissioner: Elena Markina.
- Best GShTO fighter: Anna Devyatlovskaya.
- The best press service of the GShTO: “Falcon”.
- The best activists of the GShTO in the media direction: Yaroslav Monogarov, Maxim Sidorov and Daria Beller.
Governor’s School Labor opened its doors to thousands of teenagers four years ago. Over this period of time, the direction is scaling, the number of GShTO curators is increasing, the number of employed teenagers and new employers are growing every year. With the support of the Government of Sevastopol, the Presidential Grants Fund, career guidance, motivational, and educational activities are being implemented– notes the head of the Sevastopol regional branch of the “Russian student teams” Daria Denisova.
