Sevastopol graduates will become participants in the holiday for graduates «Scarlet Sails» in St. Petersburg
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In the Catherine Hall of the House of Officers of the Black Sea Fleet, a solemn ceremony of presenting tickets to graduates to participate in the Scarlet Sails festival took place. In Sevastopol, out of 297 candidates for the medal «For Special Achievements in Teaching» following the results of the 2022-2023 academic year, 13 11th-graders with achievements in science, art, sports, and volunteer activities were selected to participate in the alumni celebration in St. Petersburg.
This year Alexander Grin’s book «Scarlet Sails» turns 100 years old. The event in the city on the Neva is like Green’s extravaganza — solemn and fabulous. The government of Sevastopol, the Department of Education and Science have chosen some of the most worthy, the best of the best, who will represent Sevastopol at this holiday. We really want the event dedicated to the work of Alexander Grin to appear in our Hero City. Previously, we held the Scarlet Sails festival for three years in a row, and we also have a sailboat with scarlet sails. We hope that soon Sevastopol graduates will also celebrate graduation at a grand celebration in Sevastopol— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Vice-Governor Alexander Kulagin.
«Scarlet Sails» is one of the main holidays of Russian graduates, which is held on the initiative of Rossiya Bank, Channel Five and the Government of St. Petersburg.
St. Petersburg holiday is known throughout the world. A few years ago, the idea came up to give Sevastopol and Crimean children the opportunity to visit a fairy tale. An agreement was reached on the participation of schoolchildren in the competitive selection. We send 13 Sevastopol residents and 13 Crimeans. For the third year we continue this tradition and receive a lot of positive feedback from children and parents. We are pleased to be the organizers of one of the most memorable events for our children. The bank pays for travel, accommodation, meals, an excursion program and a ticket for the Scarlet Sails Alumni Festival— says Yury Kraskovsky, manager of the Simferopol branch of Rossiya Bank.
The best graduates of Sevastopol will be accompanied by teachers from among the winners of professional competitions of pedagogical skills in 2023: Olga Kolesnikova, physical education teacher of school No. 59, and Karina Gasimova, primary school teacher of the Kazachya Bay educational center.
Let this event give a start to new victories! I hope we hear your names more than once. Sevastopol is proud of you! On behalf of the department, I express my sincere gratitude to teachers and parents for their undeniable contribution to the education of children, for boundless love, strength, patience and guidance, — emphasizes Anton Ulyantsev, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Science.
This is my first visit to St. Petersburg. For me it is very important and exciting. I didn’t even expect to finish school like this. I am very glad that I had the honor to be a part of this great holiday! — says Maryam Isbandiyarova, a graduate of school No. 17, winner of the federal stage of the Time to Be a Leader competition of the Healthy Eating for Schoolchildren campaign.
This year, on June 24, popular artists will perform on Palace Square in the center of St. Petersburg as part of the Scarlet Sails event for graduates, and the show will end with the passage of a brig with scarlet sails along the Neva.
