Sevastopol has a special fire safety regime. The Ministry of Emergency Situations asks not to forget about it

CrimeaPRESS reports:

This year, 13 forest fires have been registered in Sevastopol, 3 of which occurred during the period since the introduction of the special fire-fighting regime.

The total area covered by fire in the forests was 27 and a half hectares. The fire did not spread to populated areas. Also, since the beginning of the special fire-prevention regime, 30 cases of grass burning have been recorded. We remind you that since July 5, due to hot, dry weather, a special fire-prevention regime has been in effect in Sevastopol. It implies additional fire safety requirements, including a ban on making fires, burning solid household waste and garbage in the territories of gardening associations, forest funds and populated areas. Preventive work with the population has been intensified.

It is worth noting that in the summer, the main causes of fires are related to failure to observe basic fire safety measures. This includes careless handling of fire, children playing with fire, unextinguished cigarette butts or fires in recreation areas, bottles and glass left in natural areas, which act as incendiary lenses. Therefore, do not allow a careless and negligent attitude to safety rules, do not leave children unattended.

We also inform you that for violation of fire safety regulations when using open fire, administrative liability is provided under Part 2 of Article 20.4 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, — the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in Sevastopol emphasizes.

The Russian Emergencies Ministry for the city of Sevastopol strongly recommends protecting the environment and your wallet, since the fines for violating fire safety requirements under special fire safety conditions start at 10,000 rubles and vary depending on the nature of the violations and circumstances.
