Sevastopol intends to develop rural tourism

At a staff meeting of the Government of Sevastopol, chaired by Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, the development of rural tourism in 2024 was discussed. Thus, viticulture and winemaking enterprises organize places for temporary accommodation of tourists with tastings and excursions in vineyards and wineries. In 2024, for the second time, the viticulture and winemaking enterprise received a grant for the development of rural tourism in the amount of 6 million rubles.

The city governor also instructed to report on the results of the priority project “Terroir Sevastopol”. Deputy Governor Maria Litovko noted that the Grape Express tourist train will be launched again at the end of December.

Four applications for the Agrotourism grant were sent to the Russian Ministry of Agriculture for competitive selection. As a result of the competitive selection, the winner was the project for the development of rural tourism in the village of Orlinoe, where recreation areas will be equipped on the existing ostrich farm for tourist attraction,” the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Natalia Skoryukova, director of the department of agriculture and consumer market.

As part of the implementation of the national project “Small and Medium Enterprises and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives,” consulting, information, and methodological services are provided to business entities, personal subsidiary plots and peasant farms throughout the year.

Over nine months, the Sevastopol Center for Agricultural Competence provided 176 consulting services on the provision of state support. 40 packages of documents were prepared to receive a subsidy and five business projects to receive the Agrostartup grant.

The competitive selection for the Agrostartup grant took place in June; based on the results of the competitive selection, three winners were determined; the amount of state support amounted to 12 million rubles.

Beginning farmers will implement:

  • business project for growing vegetables indoors (tomatoes and peppers);
  • business project for growing Chinese cabbage;
  • business project for the production and processing of milk.
