Sevastopol investigators are checking information about a child falling into an open hatch
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Sevastopol investigators are conducting a procedural investigation into the injury of a 5-year-old child. The primary information, reported by the Investigative Committee, is as follows: in the private sector in the Sapun Mountain area, a child fell into the hatch of a concrete well more than five meters deep, which was covered with foam plastic. The boy, who received an injury in the form of a compression fracture of the spine, is undergoing continuous treatment and rehabilitation. His mother fears for the lives and health of other children; according to her, there are many other equally dangerous pits in the private sector.
The head of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, Vladimir Terentyev, instructed the territorial investigative unit to promptly get involved in establishing the circumstances, identify the services and persons responsible for servicing this territory and maintaining communal facilities in proper condition. Their actions will be given a legal assessment. Based on the results of the inspection, a lawful, informed procedural decision will be made.
