Sevastopol investigators are looking into the causes and circumstances of the fire in which a person died.

Sevastopol investigators have begun examining the fire-damaged house where a pensioner died this morning. About this fire — HERE.

This morning there was a fire in apartment building No. 17 on the street. Khrustaleva. EMERCOM employees rescued 25 people from smoke-filled apartments, including one minor. As a result of the fire that spread, a man who lived in an apartment on the 4th floor of the 2nd entrance of the building died: the pensioner was disabled and could not get out on his own— reported in Sledkom.

Investigators from the Leninsky District Investigation Department previously established that the source of the fire in the form of a homemade heating device was located in his apartment.

Another resident of the house was hospitalized in city hospital No. 1. Doctors assess her condition as moderate.

Investigators are inspecting the scene to order examinations and determine the exact cause of the fire.
