On June 14, Sevastopol will celebrate the 240th anniversary of the founding of the city. The list of festive events includes concerts, educational events, round tables and exhibitions.
At 9:00 on the territory of the sports and recreation complex named after the 200th anniversary of Sevastopol, the festival «Sports Sevastopol» starts. The program of the event includes mini-tournaments in rugby, football, high jump, tennis, volleyball, passing the TRP standards and an athletics race for everyone.
On the territory of the Konstantinovskaya Battery Museum and Exhibition Complex from 9:45 to 11:00, residents and guests of the city will be able to watch a festive concert and a photo exhibition by Sevastopol photographer Yuri Yuganson.
In addition, free excursions will be held in the city: «City by the Sea», «Lazarev’s Heritage», «Malakhov Kurgan», «Balaklava». As part of the sightseeing tours, it will be possible to get acquainted with the heroic pages of the history of the city, with its present, projects and prospects for the development of Sevastopol. From 10:00 to 18:00 at the observation deck at emb. Kornilova, 2 will operate a tourist location. In the festive program: master classes in sketching, painting ceramics, mobile photography, making aroma sachets; historical VR location.
At 11:00 and 14:00 residents of Balaklava will be able to join the quest «The Scouts Historical Relay Race». Pre-registration for the quest by phone 8 (800) 301-82-38 or in the building of the tourist information center at emb. Kornilova, 2.
At 12:30 pm on the street. Korchagina, 1 for everyone there will be a team competition «Unravel Sevastopol». Quest participants will answer questions about the history and development of the city step by step. The festive program will delight residents of different districts of the city. The best teams of the Fishermen’s Palace of Culture in Victory Park will perform with creative performances. The concert will start at 12:00.
The culmination will be the holiday “We praise you, dear Sevastopol”, dedicated to the Day of Russia and the 240th anniversary of the Hero City of Sevastopol, on the Malakhov Hill. The program includes excursions, interactive platforms, master classes, demonstration performances, a concert. The holiday will last all day — from 10:00 to 20:00.
Planned:
- 10:00-17:00 — excursions «The history of one exhibit» in the Defensive tower of the Kornilov bastion;
- 14:00-20:00 – work of interactive sites: pottery workshop, chess game, workshops on modeling salt dough, fine arts, casting soldiers, painting gingerbread, clay modeling, making textile toys, making toys from bast, making wooden toys, weaving bracelets from beads.
- 17:00-18:00 — concert of the orchestra of folk instruments of the cultural complex «Korabel»;
- 18:00-18:30 — master class «Sevastopol waltz»;
- 18:00-19:30 — concert «We praise you, dear Sevastopol!»;
- 18:30-19:30 — demonstration performance and dance master class of the historical dance studio «Southern Light».
The military-patriotic park of culture and recreation «Patriot» will host a power sports festival «Eurasian Games 2023», which is held as part of the «Strongest Nation in the World» project. It will be attended by 14 strongmen from the DPR, Kerch, Simferopol, Belgorod, Penza, Abakan, Saratov, Perm, Nizhny Novgorod, Lipetsk, Rostov-on-Don. At 17:00 in Victory Park, activists and members of youth organizations at the fair will be able to present their achievements in various fields: creativity, volunteering, ecology, science, education. Everyone will be able to join the action and write letters to the city, the heroes of Sevastopol and military personnel who are in the zone of the special military operation.
On Primorsky Boulevard, everyone will be able to visit a thematic exhibition of archival documents, and on the territory of the 35th Coastal Battery there will be a photo exhibition “Looking through the family album”.
In addition, from 11:00 to 19:00, an exhibition-fair will be held in the Musson shopping center, where Sevastopol entrepreneurs will present their products.
Festive concerts will be held outdoors: on the stage in front of the Palace of Children’s and Youth Creativity, in Victory Park, as well as on the summer stage of Primorsky Boulevard «Rakushka» — at 15:00 and 18:00. The best creative teams will perform for the residents of the city.
The celebration of the City Day will end with a film screening. At 21:00, everyone is invited to the summer stage of Primorsky Boulevard «Rakushka», where the Russian film «Admiral Nakhimov» will be shown. At the same time, the film «Shore leave» will be shown on the territory of the summer cinema of Matrossky Boulevard.
