Sevastopol is a letter of decent implementation of the national project «Culture»

The Department of Culture of Sevastopol was awarded the letters of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation for the largest number of children’s model municipal libraries created as part of the National Project «Culture».

In Moscow, at the All -Russian Strategic Forum “Cultural Reset: the results and prospects of modernizing the library network”, a solemn rewarding of the regions that distinguished themselves in the implementation of the national project was held. Recall that the model library is a real multifunctional cultural center equipped with modern equipment. Here you can read the book, attend interesting events, use educational resources and simply and interestingly and interestingly spend time with the whole family. During the implementation of the national project in Sevastopol, six model libraries were equipped — three children and three adults,-the press service of the Government of Sevastopol said.

The modeling children’s library-branch No. 8 “Belomorye” on the north side was completely equipped with modern equipment, updated the book fund and purchased more than 8.5 thousand new books. There are separate spaces with a loud reading corner and an interactive and developing games zone, as well as a family cinema and an interactive workshop.

Comfortable zones for family communication, meetings and discussions, as well as exhibition spaces appeared in the model children’s children’s library-branch No. 9. For those who are interested in history and culture, the Center for Local History works in the library, which has collected many books about Sevastopol and Crimea. And for young visitors, a special space for creativity has been created here.

The uniqueness of the model children’s library-branch No. 13 “Book World” lies in the fact that the Museum of the Children’s Book is working here, whose funds collected copies of rare books issued back in the middle of the last century. There are spaces for reading, creativity and the “media laboratory” works, where the guys can master the basics of video shooting and installation, try themselves in graphic design and gain knowledge about cybersecurity.

In the Library of Family Reading and Leisure, thanks to modernization, the book fund was updated, the functional zones for reading, coworking, conference room and cinema hall, and a room for creativity have appeared. Spaces were equipped with computers and conducted the Internet, and for children they equipped the gaming zone not only for games, but also for study. Historical and patriotic projects are also actively developing here, a family art studio works, and on Sundays there are meetings of the Club of Writers.

In the library-branch No. 4 “Library of Romance and Travel”, music lovers can listen to vinyl records and play a digital piano. In the library, halls for reading and coworking are open, interesting master classes and events are held, for example, patriotic, whose guests are participants and veterans of a special military operation.

The Foundation of the Library-Philial No. 22 “The Center for Aesthetic and Creative Development“ Bibliors ”is rich in books about artists, composers, architecture, decorative and applied art and folk art. In the updated space, art exhibitions and photo exhibitions are held, a creative development hall is working and an access point to the resources of the State Russian Museum of St. Petersburg is opened. Since 2024, a local history club has been working in the library, the participants of which get acquainted with the history and culture of Sevastopol and Crimea.

To create and develop a comfortable and affordable cultural environment for Sevastopol residents will continue as part of the federal project “Family Association and Infrastructure of Culture” of the new national project “Family”.
