Sevastopol is among the regions that applied for DEG on the Unified Voting Day
CrimeaPRESS reports:
To the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation arrived regional applications for remote electronic voting (DEG) on the Unified Voting Day (September 8, 2024). Among the 23 regions there is also an application from Sevastopol.
At the last presidential elections in Russia, 37,388 Sevastopol voters voted online using DEG.
These results for the region became a record figure, since about 20,700 residents of the Hero City used this method in the elections to the State Duma of Russia in 2021. That is, voters have already appreciated the accessibility, convenience and simplicity of this method of voting— commented the Chairman of the Sevastopol City Election Commission Nina Faustova.
As the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Russia Ella Pamfilova reported, the decision to approve the holding of the DEG will be made no later than June.
Let us remind you that in the Unified State Duma-2024, elections of deputies of the III convocation of the Legislative Assembly of the city of Sevastopol will be held in the region.
