Sevastopol is conducting a large-scale raid on taxi drivers' compliance with traffic rules

CrimeaPRESS reports:

From July 22 to July 31 of this year, an operational and preventive raid «Taxi» is being conducted in Sevastopol.

The main objective of the event is to prevent accidents during the transportation of citizens and luggage by passenger taxis, to identify and suppress violations of the Traffic Regulations. During the raid, special attention is aimed at ensuring traffic safety during passenger transportation, eliminating the causes and conditions that contribute to traffic accidents, illegal business activities, and other illegal actions that pose a threat to traffic safety and public safety.

Yesterday alone, the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate drew up 15 administrative reports. Of these, 5 reports were filed under Article 12.6 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation — violation of the rules for using seat belts, which entails an administrative fine of one thousand rubles. For failure to comply with Part 3 of Article 12.23, traffic police officers drew up 3 reports — violation of the requirements for transporting children established by the Traffic Regulations, which entails an administrative fine of three thousand rubles for the driver; twenty-five thousand rubles for officials; and one hundred thousand rubles for legal entities.

Work to prevent road accidents involving taxis in the city will continue.
