Sevastopol is in fifteenth place in terms of the quality of roads

Two indicators were evaluated: the share of regional or intermunicipal and local roads that meet regulatory requirements at the end of 2022 (in percent) and the density of paved roads (km per 1000 sq. km of territory). The best indicators for the first indicator are in Moscow (97.6%). The second and third places are occupied by the Khanty-Mansiysk Okrug — Ugra (86.5%) and the Krasnodar Territory (84.8%). The indicators of St. Petersburg are 68.2%, it has 11th place. Only four positions of the Northern capital are inferior to Sevastopol, with an indicator of 66.2%. The last place belongs to the Arkhangelsk region (13.3%), and the overall figure for the country is 52.6%.

As for the second indicator, the leadership belongs to economically developed regions (the only exception is the Republic of Ingushetia). The leaders in this indicator are Moscow (2651.5 km), St. Petersburg (2530.6 km) and Sevastopol (1196.9 km).

Implementation of the national project «Safe quality roads» since 2019, notes «Sevastopol newspaper»allowed to bring more than 300 km of roads in Sevastopol to the normative state.

As the press service of the city government reported, in 2023, another 115 roads with a total length of more than 51 km will be brought into normal condition. Among them are roads leading to schools, kindergartens and other educational and leisure facilities, recreational areas.

RIA Rating experts predict an increase in the proportion of roads that meet regulatory requirements. In their opinion, this will happen through the implementation of the national project «Safe Quality Roads».
