Sevastopol is in the top cities that tourists most associate with Russia
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Russian vacation rental booking service TVIL.RU conducted a survey on social networks on the topic: which city is most associated with the image of Russia among our subscribers. We are now publishing the responses we received.
1. The capital of our Motherland, Moscow, was predictably in first place, chosen by 32% of voters. This is not surprising; in the many faces of Moscow everyone will find a place to their liking.
2. In second place is St. Petersburg, the choice of 21% of subscribers. Once upon a time this city was built to become “the most European”. But now he seems “very Russian” to many.
3. In third place is Sevastopol, the choice of 14% of voting participants. This amazing city is loved by many. Its history and modernity combine beauty, strength, resilience and courage.
4. In fourth place is Pskov, an ancient Russian city, which 8% of voters liked, they wrote poems and paintings about Pskov; it’s good to walk near the ancient walls, go on excursions around the city itself and its surroundings, for example, to Izborsk.
5. 7% of voting participants voted for Suzdal. Tourists love this city of the Vladimir region not only for its numerous monuments and attractions, but also for the very special old Russian flavor with which it welcomes guests.
6. 6% of voting participants would like to go to Vladivostok. It is not surprising that many people associate this city with our country; there is the Russian Bridge and Russky Island.
7. Yaroslavl collected 5% of the votes. The ancient city at the confluence of two rivers became “at the time” the first Christian city in Rus’. And now Yaroslavl is not only an excursion destination for various types of tourism, but also a large modern regional center.
8. Another Volga city, Nizhny Novgorod, was supported by 4% of voting participants. This city is called the “Pocket of Russia”, and last year it received the title of “Youth Capital”.
9. Yekaterinburg was chosen by 2% of subscribers. This city is called the “Capital of the Urals”; it is the fourth most populous in the country.
10. 1% of participants voted for Ryazan. It’s even strange that a beautiful city with convenient logistics and developed tourist infrastructure has so many fans. However, here I would like to cite one of the comments under the survey: “Everything, absolutely all cities in the country are Russia. They are dear to us, dear, they are ours.”
