Sevastopol is landscaped: 14.5 thousand marigolds were planted on the ring of Revyakina-Melnik
Krympress reports:
In Sevastopol, a three-day landing of marigolds on the ring of Revayakin-Melnik ends. The work of 7 specialists of “Parks and squares” participates in the work. For three days, employees dropped 14,500 marigolds: 6 150 orange and 8,350 yellow.
Preparatory work was carried out in advance — for three days it took the bayonet, weeding and improvement of the condition of the soil. The experts also provided preliminary watering so that the earth was well moistened and ready for landing. The work began two days ago, and today you can already see the first results of the works of gardeners.
The marigolds chose because it was drought and gas-resistant. Here, next to lavender and roses, they look especially harmonious. Other plants, for example, begonia, simply cannot withstand summer heat— said the master of the site Tatyana Mashan.
The plants have regular care: at night automatic watering, and once every three days — additional watering with two machines. This allows you to maintain optimal humidity without the risk of rotting of the roots.
Tulips bloomed at this place. After their final collection, the bulbs were sent for drying and storage, and in the fall, in late October or early November, they will be planted again — just to the place that marigolds are now occupied.
From pests, such as snails, plants will be protected using special granules with metaldehyde, which, if necessary, process the perimeter of the flower beds. The site looks neat and well -groomed thanks to a clear organization of work and the professionalism of employees. Such mass landings are annually carried out throughout the region, creating bright panels from annuals who delight Sevastopols and guests of the city all summer.
Recall that spring flowers in Sevastopol will replace more than 250 thousand summer colors. These will be: Ageratums, velvets, Kealuses, Petuni and others.
