Sevastopol is the winner of the All-Russian Contest of Best Practices for Supporting Volunteerism «Region of Good Deeds»

Sevastopol was among the 24 winners of the «Region of Good Deeds» competition and will receive a subsidy from Rosmolodezh in the amount of 9.8 million rubles for the development of a volunteer movement in the city as part of achieving the goals of the regional project «Social Activity» of the national project «Education».
The funds won will make it possible to involve more than 20,000 residents of Sevastopol in volunteer activities through the implementation of the winning projects of the regional stage of the competition, which were included in the general application: “Culture of goodness. School of Volunteers» — the Fishermen’s Palace of Culture, «Volunteer Mobility Center «Dobro.Expert» — Sevastopol State University, «Landing Good of Student Squads of Sevastopol» — Sevastopol Regional Branch of the All-Russian Youth Public Organization «Russian Student Squads».
Every year the volunteer community of Sevastopol is growing, more and more people are willing and ready to help — this was shown by the actions to collect humanitarian aid «We do not leave our own», weaving camouflage nets, making trench candles and many other initiatives of caring Sevastopol residents— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the governor of the city Mikhail Razvozhaev.
Part of the funds won will be used to develop volunteering on the basis of the Resource Center for Volunteering Support: conducting an information campaign, providing consulting support to Sevastopol volunteers, purchasing new equipment and holding an educational volunteer festival.
Applications for the 2023 All-Russian competition of the best regional practices in supporting volunteering «Region of Good Deeds» were submitted by 72 regions of Russia. The maximum amount of subsidies to the regions is up to 11 million rubles, and the total amount of subsidies this year amounted to 225 million rubles. Through the implementation of more than 130 projects and volunteer practices in 2024, it is planned to involve more than 2.5 million people in volunteering.
