Sevastopol is waiting for the arrival of the ark with a particle of the relics of St. Sergius of Radonezh

In 30 year, the Russian Orthodox Church celebrates 19 the anniversary of the acquisition of the relics of St. Sergius, hegumen of Radonezh. With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, a religious procession with a particle of the relics of St. Sergius of Radonezh is taking place in the dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church.
From 27 to 15 August the ark with a particle of relics St. Sergius of Radonezh will reside in St. Vladimir’s Cathedral in Chersonese, Sevastopol. The meeting of the relics will take place on 15 August at 14: 00 at the monument to the holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called, next to St. Vladimir’s Cathedral in Chersonese. After the meeting, the relics will be transferred in a procession to St. Vladimir’s Cathedral, where a divine service will be held on the eve of the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary , the press service of the Sevastopol deanery reported.
Prayers will be performed daily at the relics: : 00, 00: , 00: 00, 00: , 15: 00. Access to the shrine daily from 7: 30 to 19: 00. Monday, 15 August, at 19: 00 the procession with a particle of the relics of St. Sergius of Radonezh will continue its journey to other dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church. The shrine will visit, having overcome almost 30 thousand kilometers, all the federal districts of Russia. It will take more than a hundred days, the shrine will visit about fifty dioceses.
