“Sevastopol – Nikolaevka – Tarkhankut – Koktebel – Massandra” – route of the Nakhimov-2024 rally

Retro cars will once again drive along the roads of Crimea.

From May 1 to May 5, 2024, the already traditional “Nakhimov” rally of the Automobile Historical Society Gorkyclassic will take place in Crimea. According to Tourist portal of Crimea, the peculiarity of the event is that only retro cars participate in it. This will be the largest event in the South of Russia for crews driving classic cars of Soviet and foreign production.

According to the organizers, crews driving Soviet ZILs, VAZs, GAZs, Zaporozhets, Moskviches, Izhas and other classic cars can join the five-day navigating competition. If we talk about the rally route, so far, preliminary, the program of stages looks like this:

The ninth rally will start on May 1 from Nakhimov Square in Sevastopol. On the first day of the rally, participants will cover 200 km and reach the village of Nikolaevka, Simferopol region. The route will pass through Sevastopol streets, country highways in the foothills and steppe areas. The first day will end with a gala dinner and concert on the seashore.

On May 2, the participants will go to Cape Tarkhankut, but then return to Nikolaevka. And on May 3, Koktebel awaits them. A column of retro cars will drive along steppe and mountain roads. In the evening there will be dinner, after which the start of the one and a half hour night stage of the rally on Mount Klementyev is planned.

May 4 will be dedicated to relaxation in “Voloshin’s Cimmeria” — that part of eastern Crimea that the poet and artist Maximilian Voloshin tirelessly praised in his poems and paintings. Participants of the event will be offered various car and walking excursions to the natural, historical and architectural attractions of the region.

On May 5, crews of retro cars will set off from Koktebel to the South Coast. Massandra will be waiting for them there, where the ceremonial finish, buffet and awards ceremony will take place, as well as Ponizovka, where a gala dinner will be held.

It is expected that motorists will travel a thousand kilometers across Crimea in five days. At the same time, they will overcome 15 special stages and take part in two slaloms.
