In January-March of the current year, 1528 crimes were registered in Sevastopol, including serious-639. This is 41.8% of the total. Compared to the same period last year, the number of serious crimes increased by 30.4%.
According to the analytical report of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sevastopol in 2025 was located in second place among regions, where the growth of people who died from crimes — +110%was noted. The situation is worse only in Nenets AO (+300%), Ingushetia (+220%) and Moscow (+194%).
It is noted that Sevastopol is in the top of the regions where crimes are committed by persons who do not have constant income. In the total number of crimes, the proportion of such “unemployed” criminals amounted to 68.3 %. The Chechen Republic is the leader in this indicator — 84.2%.
In total, in the Russian Federation, for the first three months of 2025, 475.8 thousand crimes were registered, which is 0.6% more than the same period last year. The growth of registered crimes was noted in 33 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, a decrease — in 52.
The proportion of serious and especially serious crimes among the registered ones increased in the Russian Federation from 31.8% in January-March 2024 to 35.9%.
