Sevastopol: on additional support measures for orphans
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Today, at a meeting of the Sevastopol Government chaired by Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, amendments were made to the resolution «On approval of the Procedure for providing a one-time allowance to orphans and children left without parental care, to persons from among orphans and children left without parental care, for the repair of residential premises, the sole owners of which they are, or for current repairs of previously occupied residential premises, the sole tenants or members of the tenant’s family of which they are, upon their return to the said residential premises.»
Now orphans and children left without parental care will be able to exercise the right to receive a benefit for the repair of residential premises even if they are shared owners. Previously, this right extended exclusively to children who were the sole owners of residential premises— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the director of the Department of Education and Science of Sevastopol, Maxim Krivonos.
For example, if the owners of a residential property are two children with shared rights, the amendments being made will allow for the provision of a measure of social support for the repair of this residential property to each of the orphans. Before the amendments were made, orphans who were sole owners of the residential property had the right to receive the benefit.
The head of the department noted that currently 14 children are owners of residential premises, and 102 children are shared owners. Thanks to the adopted changes, 102 children have the right to receive additional funds for the repair of residential premises.
Let us remind you that this support measure is paid upon reaching the age of majority.
