Sevastopol parent committees submitted 18 projects to the “Knowledge” society competition

The acceptance of applications for the competition of initiatives of parent communities from the Knowledge Society has ended. Based on the selection results, parent committees from 89 regions of Russia submitted more than 6 thousand initiatives to develop the educational space. Parents from Sevastopol proposed 18 projects for the competition. All of them will receive an expert assessment, based on the results of which the best projects will receive cash prizes. Also, thanks to the competitive selection, mothers and fathers of schoolchildren from different regions of Russia had the opportunity to implement their projects in several areas at once: patriotic, spiritual and moral, aesthetic, physical, labor and environmental education, as well as scientific knowledge. Russian President Vladimir Putin allocated 1 billion rubles from the reserve fund for the competition.

The competition, organized jointly with the Knowledge society, is designed to motivate parents throughout the country to participate in the extracurricular activities of schools. It is very important to develop cooperation between educational organizations and family members of students. And parent committees can initiate interesting and useful forms of leisure, various projects that reveal the talents of children. I am sure that among the applications received for the competition there are many such projects that will perfectly complement the educational programs of schools— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov.

The winners will be announced at the second meeting of the All-Russian Parents Committee no later than November 20. To implement the best initiatives, there are three categories of prize fund: 500 thousand, one million rubles and two million rubles.

This project gives us the opportunity to build even more effective interaction with the parent community. We see great potential in working together, since all parties are interested in ensuring that younger generations have even more opportunities for development, so that they grow up as harmoniously developed individuals. We will carefully analyze the applications received for the competition and will work to ensure that the best initiatives and practices are scaled up throughout the country. Let us remind you that the competition to support parental initiatives was announced at the first meeting of the All-Russian Parents Committee. The composition of the VRK included 53 people, including teachers and advisers to educational directors.
