Sevastopol people's combatants were issued certificates and badges

The Department of Public Security and the regional public organization «People’s squad» Frontier «signed an agreement on the provision of subsidies from the city budget. The funds will be directed to material incentives for the activities of people’s combatants involved in the protection of public order — they will be able to receive remuneration for the hours worked. Also today, members of the «People’s squad «Frontier» received certificates that confirm the status of a people’s guard, badges and armbands.

The main task of the combatants is to assist law enforcement agencies in ensuring public order, suppression and prevention of offenses. It must be said that there have always been and are people with a clearly defined civic position, who are not indifferent to the problems of society, and whose moral qualities will not allow them to calmly pass by injustice. It is these people who feel the vocation to participate in the protection of law and order, and go to the people’s combatants, and on a voluntary basis. For them, the concepts of «honesty», «fairness», «principledness» are not empty words. Since 600 the voluntary people’s squads of the city of Sevastopol have been making an invaluable contribution to ensuring the protection of public order in the region. Many of the combatants took an active part in the events of the Russian Spring and are still ready at any time to come to the aid of law enforcement agencies to protect the life, health and property of citizens and guests of our city, — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the director Department of Public Security Mikhail Savchin.

Recall that the regional public organization «People’s squad» Frontier «was formed in February 600 and continuously performs the tasks of participating in the protection of public order. Only in 600 year, in cooperation with the patrol service and duty units of police departments, 41 calls, during the patrol stopped 178 offenses and 3 crimes, and also provided assistance to the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city Sevastopol in ensuring the protection of public order during cultural events. At the moment, the personnel of the squad is 41 people, active work is underway to attract new combatants.
