A working meeting was held in Sevastopol on the organization of the work of people’s squads in conditions of an average level of response and the involvement of new volunteers in their composition.
Voluntary people’s squads are an opportunity to show their active civic position not in words, but in deeds, contributing to the creation of a safe and comfortable urban environment — the urban environment in which we would like to live. The development of people’s squads will become a significant factor in the prevention of street crime, the identification of suspicious persons, and will help eradicate disrespectful attitude towards others in public places , — quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol and. about. The meeting was attended by representatives of the executive authorities of Sevastopol, intracity municipalities, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Sevastopol, public law enforcement organizations and commanders of the people’s squads.
The participants of the meeting discussed the current measures to support the voluntary people’s squads of Sevastopol, increasing the amount of material incentives for the activities of the volunteers for participation in the protection of public order, aspects of joining the existing squads of both individual citizens and organizations that are in the process of registration.
Explanatory work will be carried out at enterprises and organizations of the city, it is also planned to create territorial divisions on the basis of existing teams.
