Sevastopol police sum up the results of the operational and preventive measure “Illegal”

On the territory of the city of Sevastopol, from October 2 to October 8, a comprehensive operational and preventive operation “Illegal-2023” was carried out, aimed at identifying and suppressing violations of migration legislation.
The event was attended by employees of the migration department, the center for countering extremism of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol, the criminal investigation department, the police patrol service, local police commissioners of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city districts and other services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Raids were carried out in places of compact stay (residence) of foreign citizens, places where they carry out labor activities, in order to suppress channels of illegal migration, identify administrative offenses on the part of foreign citizens and crimes in the field of migration— said the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
During the activities carried out, police officers identified 95 administrative offenses in the field of migration. Based on the results of consideration of cases of administrative offenses, administrative fines in the amount of 195 thousand rubles were imposed.
In relation to two foreign citizens, the courts of the city of Sevastopol made decisions on administrative expulsion from the Russian Federation. Three criminal cases have been initiated regarding the fictitious registration of a foreign citizen at the place of residence in the Russian Federation, as well as for the use of deliberately forged official documents.,” the police clarified.
In addition, criminal investigation officers detained one citizen who was on the federal wanted list for a previously committed crime.
