Sevastopol Polyclinic No. 2 celebrates its half-century anniversary

The history of one of the largest clinics in Sevastopol began on November 4, 1974 and today it is a dynamically developing medical institution that makes a significant and important contribution to caring for the health of the residents of our city. Today, the clinic serves about 60 thousand residents of several districts of the city; almost 600 people come here per day. Doctors at the clinic state that recently the number of patients who have undergone examinations under the state medical examination program, which can be used free of charge thanks to the national project “Healthcare,” has increased.
Just 50 years ago, the staff of the medical institution consisted of only a few doctors and nurses, but today there are 127 people who are ready to fight for the health of their patients every day.
On the eve of the holiday, the deputy governor of the city of Sevastopol, Igor Mikheev, congratulated the department’s staff on the anniversary. On behalf of the governor, he expressed gratitude to the team for their work.
The history of the hospital is written by people. A high-quality, qualified team of like-minded people works here. You have united and are clearly moving forward; it is very pleasant to look at your achievements. Dedication to their work and high professionalism of the medical staff allows many people to return to active work, gain confidence in the future, and again feel the joy of life.
The clinic continues to develop to meet modern healthcare standards. Today these are three therapeutic departments, a surgical department, which provides qualified medical care to surgical patients, including for emergency indications, as well as the wounded and traumatized, a specialized medical care department, where doctors conduct outpatient visits, a diagnostic service, and a day hospital therapeutic and neurological profiles, a medical prevention department that carries out medical examinations and preventive examinations and much more.
Here, the quality of the diagnostic and treatment process is constantly being improved, taking into account the achievements of modern science, modern medical technologies are being introduced, and the availability of medical care to the population is increasing.
Medicine has changed. The clinic has become a large medical facility that serves a huge, densely populated area. Your clinic is one of the best; in many ways you were the first in the city. You performed especially well during the pandemic, when an unprecedented burden fell on primary health care. Only thanks to team cohesion, hard work, professionalism, and dedication we were able to pass this stage. I am confident that the tasks set for healthcare today, thanks to such cohesion, such a team, will all be realized.
