Sevastopol rescuers conducted training on difficult mountainous terrain

We practice using rescue equipment in places where there is a risk of falling from a height. We train rescuers from a unit that has not previously specialized in working in the mountains— the press service quotes the head of the search and rescue unit «South» Viktor Tarasov.

For some rescuers, this is their first experience of such work, and more experienced colleagues showed how to use climbing equipment and how to move on difficult terrain.

We worked on two locations — moving along horizontal railings and going up and down along vertical railings. It was also important to work out team coordination when transporting a victim on a steep section of rock.– notes the deputy head of the search and rescue team, Andrei Ivashkov.
