It is time for Sevastopol rescuers to retrain as ornithologists. Recently rescued a bird entangled in the clothesline of a multi-storey building on General Ostryakov Avenue. And here is another trip to save the little life of the feathered «younger brother». On June 27, the rescuers of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Sevastopol performed literally jewelry work, rescuing a swift from the trap of concrete ceilings.
The call came from caring citizens: they reported that in one of the houses on Oktyabrskaya Revolyutsii Avenue, the bird could not get out of the gap in the concrete ceilings between the third and fourth floors. People can’t reach it on their own.
Employees of the emergency rescue unit of the Specialized Detachment of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia moved to the place. Experts were able to climb to the feathered victim with the help of a retractable three-knee ladder. It turned out that the swift fell into the gap with its head. It was impossible to violate the integrity of the structures, but, at the same time, it was necessary to provide assistance to the bird as soon as possible — it was practically exhausted, fighting for life. Having assessed the situation, the rescuer Mikhail Grinko rescued the unfortunate man — carefully, carefully and accurately taking the necessary measures.— said in the emergency department.
On examination, no injuries were found in the swift. The bird was allowed to take a breath, and then released into the wild.
