Sevastopol rescuers remind of the rules of the safety of children on the beach

Employees of the search and rescue detachment of the city rescue service urge parents to be especially attentive to their children on the beach during the bathing season. Experts make a special emphasis on the fact that the main guarantee of the child’s safety by water is constant control by adults.

The first step to a safe vacation is the choice of an official beach. This year there are 26 of them in Sevastopol. They are checked, comply with all safety standards and are equipped with the necessary rescue means. The beaches are diverse: there are both sandy and rocky recreation areas, as well as adapted for low -mobility citizens and families with children.

But even on the most comfortable beach, the main thing for children is the constant attention of parents.

Children are energy that does not stop for a minute. Dive — and the child is no longer there. He may be in the water alone, in a dangerous situation-warns the deputy chief of the search and rescue detachment Sergey Mochkov.

Parents should always see where their child is located, remind. Do not let him go alone to the water, do not lose sight of. It is especially important to remember: the children are drowning in silence. Without bursts, without screams — just disappear under water.

Do not let children go unattended — this is what is the most important part of the security on the water”Said Ivan Morozov, the sailor of the beach of Victory Park.

To ensure security for the beaches, more than 140 sailors-rescuers are drawn daily. They passed the necessary training, and their posts are equipped with a full set of equipment: on each beach there are boats, rescue circles, the ends of Alexandrov, means of communication and alarm. Special zones for children with minimal depth and a fencing with buoys are also equipped. Rescuers are on duty directly opposite these sites.

In addition, experts note that it is necessary to monitor the hydration of the body — children have quick metabolism, and dehydration occurs very quickly. Do not forget about hats: a sunny blow is especially dangerous for small ones.

If you are not sure of the child’s swimming skills, send him to specially designated areas, where rescuers can observe him.

Before starting the bathing season, all the beaches were carefully checked, including with the involvement of divers, which extracted potentially dangerous objects from the bottom — glass, reinforcement, sharp structures and other objects. Personnel briefings were carried out, equipment was installed and the condition of all rescue towers was checked.

Recall that in the summer, the safety of Sevastopol is ensured daily by the grouping from employees of the rescue service of Sevastopol, the Russian Emergencies Ministry, law enforcement agencies, as well as volunteers and volunteers.

The clocks on duty are 24 boats and 11 units of special equipment.
