Sevastopol resident — SVO participant — Alexey Sachko: “Who, if not me?”
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Heroism, courage, unparalleled feat and loyalty to the Fatherland — these are the main qualities that distinguish military personnel performing tasks in the special operation zone. One of them is a combat veteran, machine gunner Alexey Sachko.
I was born in Sevastopol, in the family of an officer. I have always been for the Russian world and told my friends: “If it ever happens that Sevastopol and Crimea become Russian, I will do everything in my power for this.” Since 2016, I worked in the capital construction department of Sevastopol, worked my way up from an ordinary employee to a chief accountant, and was also a member of the reserve of military personnel of the Armed Forces. In the first days of the special operation, the selection point contacted me and offered to sign a contract. I agreed immediately, but asked that they give me time to close the year. I worked until the end of March, closed all the reports and went to war with a clear conscience. From the first days of the special operation, I decided this for myself: there are many accountants, there are few stormtroopers. Who if not me? — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Alexey.
Even before the start of the special operation, in 2014, Alexey stood up to defend the people of Donbass — shoulder to shoulder with his college friend. He carried out assigned tasks as part of the Viking battalion, for which he was awarded the medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, II degree.
I am also nominated for awards for participating in the SVO, but whether I receive them or not is not important. We didn’t go there for medals, — the man notes.
In the special operation zone, Alexey Sachko served as part of the 810th brigade, moving as part of the air assault battalion along its glorious path.
We started from Mariupol, going to the Azovstal weapons line. Later we were transferred to the Donetsk direction, where I came under heavy mortar fire, was shell-shocked, and ended up in the hospitalsays the soldier.
When asked what patriotism means to him, Alexey answers this way:
People often ask the question “What did the Motherland give me?” So patriotism for me is the opposite question: what can I give to my Motherland? What can I do to make my life better? Don’t litter on the streets, don’t destroy what someone has created, defend the country if necessary.
Let us remind you that military personnel are provided with about 15 federal and regional benefits and guarantees, including those received by participants in the special operation: official housing or compensation for rental housing, life and health insurance, credit and tax holidays, additional benefits and guarantees of constituent entities of the Russian Federation and others.
To enroll in military service under a contract, you need to prepare the following documents: an autobiography and a questionnaire (the form is posted on website), passport, military ID, education document, marriage and birth certificates.
The selection point is located at st. Kommunisticheskaya, 3a, phone: +7 (8692) 22-14-51
